Join us on the 25th April to learn about how you can gain access to your next generation of talent through our Green Meets Grey (GMG) skills event. Bringing together the more traditional STEM subjects with a healthy dollop of creativity through the Arts. We believe in STEAM not STEM – “You need to bring art and science back together. Think back to the glory days of the Victorian era. It was a time when the same people wrote poetry and built bridges..” Eric Schmidt, Google Executive Chairman.
For over three years, we have been delivered 10 events for over 270 students – our ‘Greens’ (Year 9 to Year 13) from 16 different schools and colleges across Berkshire. We have worked with large organisations, including charities, to provide challenges. The teams are then supported by mentors – our ‘Greys’ who have joined us from start-ups right through to corporates.
We know that apprentices have been employed directly as a result of attending an event and see the benefit of GMG being run as an apprentice assessment centre.
We are also currently (and rather excitedly) waiting to find out if a concept from the IoT Challenge session in November 2017 will receive funding to go forward, so we can re-engage the students that were involved…watch this space!
Our ambition – We want to take Green Meets Grey to the next level and understand where we can take this initiative…and that’s where you come in.
A Green Meets Grey (in whatever format) is always amazing and we receive such great feedback following the sessions. We believe that Green Meets Grey delivers across all levels and is empathetic towards our ‘customers’ and all parties involved, however we would love to hear that from you directly.
To achieve this we will be holding a session where we can explore the boundaries of Green Meets Grey and co-create something really special together.
Join us on 25th April at GROW@GreenPark if you would like to help us shape Green Meets Grey and be a part of it’s evolution. Book a space below.
